Rapids Families!

There has been a lot going on with the Rapids swim team since last year and we need to share that information with everyone. There will be a MANDATORY parent meeting, we will have two dates for you to choose from. The first one will be this coming Saturday, June 1^st at our mock meet. The meet will start at 8am, we will be finished before 10:30 or possibly sooner. Coach Bianca will let the kids know what time to be there for warm-ups. This will be a very quick event that will enable the kids and parents to practice what it is like at a meet. Everyone will be swimming 25 free so it will go quickly. Along with the parent meeting, we will also be having our swim suit fitting for those of you interested in buying the team suit.

If you will not be at the mock meet this weekend, our second option for the MANDATORY parent meeting will be on Wednesday, June 5^th from 6-6:30. Please make every effort to attend one of these options. If you are unable to, please let me know so we can meet with you to impart the information.

We have a great need for certified positions. Please remember that this is solely a parent run team, and we cannot compete in swim meets if we are not able to fulfill our volunteer requirements. If you are able, please take the time to attend or complete on-line one of the trainings so you can assist in one of these positions. We also have a need for some additional assistance. We are looking for a Spirit mom that will promote team spirit at our meets, help assist with team events, and assist with our finals party. The spirit mom would also coordinate our big fish/little fish program. We also would like to have someone head up concessions this year. We now have to operate under a concession permit so will be unable to sell anything that does not come packaged or prepared. This will make this position much easier than it has been in the past. Lastly, we have the Member-at-Large position that is open on the board. If you are interested and can help out in any of these areas, please let me know asap and I can give you further information.
