Swim Meet 6/16 Information

Finally, we are about to have our first swim meet since 2019 and we are so excited!! It is a bit of a process so hang in there while we remember how to run one of these things! Some useful information for tomorrow night is as follows:

The pool will close to the community at 4pm and we will begin setting up then. This involves clearing the deck of all loungers and chairs. If you would like to come set up your own chairs and get a good seat feel free to at that time. Maybe you'd be willing to move a lounger or 2 while you do that?! The cabanas will be blocked off for all of the officials to run the meet from so please don't set up there.

Our team will begin warmups at 4:45pm. Please have your swimmers on deck then.

As you may remember, parking is a pain. Please be conscience of neighbors driveways and mailboxes and don't block them.

The meet will start promptly at 6pm (we hope!).

We will have concessions set up at the table near the shed that will contain drinks and candy. Vocelli's will be there with a tent just outside of the pool deck selling pizza, salad and drinks. This will be cash only and is a fundraiser for our team. They have great pizza if you haven't had the chance to try them yet!

Coach Bianca will give your kids their events at practice tomorrow morning and they will be posted on the fence just after 5pm if you need to see what they will swim.

Volunteers need to check in with Jill Wallace when they get there. She will be the one with a zillion timers around her wrist and looking a little frazzled trying to wrangle all of us into our correct jobs. Timers will have a meeting at 4:45 on the pool deck near the flag pool. We still need one more person to time the second half, if you feel lead to help us we would greatly appreciate it!

I know this is a lot of information and if you are new to the team it may be a little overwhelming but please let me know if you have any questions at all.
