Welcome to Swim Season 2022!

This is Jill, your Volunteer Coordinator. I just wanted to send out the information for Swim Meet job training.

For our swim meets to run we need trained and certified positions filled. Each of those positions need to be filled by our swim families for each swim meet we hold or attend. Each family is required to provide a volunteer to work each swim meet their child swims in. And each meet we need each certified position or we can’t hold the meet.

Our kids LOVE the swim meets! It’s a great chance for them to show us what they can do and also have fun with their friends.

Certified Positions needed are:

Referee

Head Timer

Starter Stroke and Turn

Data

Clerk of Course

Please reach out to me if you are able to take training.

Upcoming trainings available so far are:

May 25 @ Hopyard (Will be in King George on Coakley Drive from 6-8pm)

June 1 @ Lake of the Woods (will be in Locust Grove off Sweetbriar Park Road from 6-8pm)

June 4 in Ruther Glen (off Library Point from 9-11am)

June 8 @ Country Club (will be in Fredericksburg on Tidewater Trail from 630p-8:30pm)

I will update if other options become available but I believe these are the only ones.

Please remember we can’t have swim meets without these positions. Each one is required.

If you have trained In the past please consider re-certifying as it is required to continue to do the position.

Thanks again for all your support for our kids. Please message me as to what date you will attend, so we can keep a list of who is trained and to provide you the exact address.

We would love to have as many trained as possible so we are sure all positions are filled at each meet.
