Good Evening, Rapids Families!

We are off to a great summer of swimming! We are so excited to be back in the water and cheering each other on! One of the best parts of the season is the Big Fish(12 and older)/Little Fish(8 and under) program. Here is how it goes! The Big Fish greet their little fish whenever they see them at practice, they help their Little Fish get to their events at the meets and cheer them on. The Big Fish also get a small (less than $5/$10) gift for their Little Fish at each meet. At the end of the season, the Little Fish gets a small gift for the Big Fish to say thank you for everything over the season. (Usually, a thank you note and gift card).

For our 9-11 year olds, we have Co-Fish. Co-Fish exchange small treats/gifts at each meet and cheer each other on.

The younger swimmers LOVE having an older swimmer getting to know them, cheering them on, and making them really feel like part of the team! 8 and under swimmers are automatically given a Big Fish.

Since we had to cancel practice a few times and 8 and unders have until June 10th to make it across the pool, we will not have Big Fish/Little Fish for the first meet. The list of big/little/co – fish will be posted Friday June 12th. It will begin at our next swim meet on June 17th!
